I love Jim Carrey and I respect that this movie is trying to do more than just be a vehicle for him, but outside of his performance there’s just not much depth here. The cast is loaded but nobody besides Carrey is providing any substance. It clearly wants to be more than some of his other comedic 90’s fare but besides a slightly darker tone, it isn’t.
