Kurosawa, as always, shows off the most stunning imagery that is so ahead of its time.
The only issues I had with this are the small changes the director chose to make from Macbeth- most prominently making Noriyasu (MacDuff) play a much smaller part in the story.
Still very enjoyable and well made.

Gross film that implies a woman could be in any way okay that she had to endure sexual violence and her friends be murdered if she can make some money from it in the end. This completely takes away from a decent first act that, although completely derivitive of so many films, is kind of enjoyable.
A spit in the face to every woman and anyone who is a victim of rape or sexual assault.

The use of the single take is such an incredible feat of filmmaking and perfectly encapsulates the chaos of the resteraunt. The entire cast give stellar performances with the standout obviously being Stephen Graham- he is fucking class.
