Provokes some off-beat observations about identity and morality, but then eschews them for a pretty lame political satire.

Really quite moving in parts and one of the more palatable bits of pandemic cinema. For all the beauty of Shakespeare the standout really is ParTeb the pantsless alien.

    What a dang filmmaker!

This is pretty good as an effective undercutting of the popular myth of the Blitz spirit and as a depiction of the horrors of being bombarded.

Easy to see why most commenters have picked up on the Dickensian feel, but this reminded me more of Titanic. Like Cameron, McQueen takes a historical tragedy as an opportunity to stage thrilling set pieces whilst advancing a political narrative. Blitz of course isn't as romantic, Hollywood, or quite frankly as good but it's…
