  I kind of wish the whole thing was about Nero, because any time Ustinov isn't on screen it becomes significantly less interesting. The scale of production is obviously impressive, and the narrative is interesting but unsurprising.

  How do you review Killers of the Flower Moon? Stating the obvious, but Lily Gladstone and Robert DeNiro both do amazing. The way this movie contextualizes itself within the broader history of the Osage and 1920s America works wonders. Everything is authentic and real. The pacing and overall filmmaking approach remind me of Silence, more than it does Scorsese's other seminal works. As a result, I definitely think it will stick out in his filmography as a very different kind of film for him.

  Honestly, it just feels like one giant mismangled adverstisement. Some bitch keeps telling me to pull out my phone and download Nubie or Noovie or some shit and blast photons at the screen. Like, the fuck, you're not supposed to use your phone during the movie!! The subplot about Ryan Reynolds character being stuck in a video game or something was cool. The M&M cameo was also cute, but kind of 4th wall breaky. Overall, the movie did not make any sense though. Save 10 bucks and don't see it.
