Deeply unsettling but equally frustrating. I swear most characters were rage baiting the viewer at one point or another. I personally HATE under explored mysteries and the premise of the show would better suit a limited series to answer more questions. However, those who say the ending isn't satisfying can't grasp the concept of irony - or they have a low IQ and would have survived exactly 0 minutes in an apocalypse. Nice work by Kevin Bacon as well.
I've been a sucker for movies that use colour this well recently. The concept is naturally a little confusing but there were some genuinely cool twists and turns. Made me feel sufficiently uncomfortable for a psychological thriller without being too much - it just wasn't anything amazing.
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Unironically has a solid plot other than the fact that Dumbledore is obviously match-fixing the house cup. Are you kidding me? He must have wagered the overs on Gryffindor to win the whole thing. "10pts" yeah okay getting a little too specific there buddy, it's almost like that was what got them over the line...
Harry and Ron having a "pick me"-off with their dialogue and facial expressions genuinely pissed me off though. Can't wait for that inevitable love triangle…
Reasonable thriller with a sufficiently twisted villain and superb acting. The premise was exciting and could have gone many places, some of which felt under explored. The ending was somewhat unsatisfying - keeping in mind I have a high bar for this genre. However, given the timely Christmas context, watching this film this time of year just felt right.
