A deserved ending for an amazing trilogy, despite some minor setbacks.
Though on first watch I found them hilarious, the Ewoks really do weigh this movie down. And if you don't like dogs or furry creatures, god help you. Sunshine is probably the definition of a hidden gem.
I really enjoyed this movie, and how much style it has. The VFX and sound design are phenomenal, culminating in the Icarus II feeling as alive as its core crew.
There are so many visually compelling moments; Kaneda's sacrifice, Harvey freezing, and practically any time we see a wide shot of the Icarus. I'm honestly surprised though that Sunshine is never mentioned in general movie sound design discourse. The decibel-divulgent audio…
