    “My war isn’t over yet.”

To reduce Godzilla Minus One to merely “best film of 2023” greatly diminishes the quality of every single aspect. One of the rare films that flirts with perfection.

The budget was $12 million. Why do other films even bother trying?

    3. Directed by Robert Altman

I think I just watched one of the best movies ever.

"No stars." And out steps Peter Falk, Julia Roberts, and Bruce Willis. Brilliant filmmaking. A wonderful satire that, despite Robert Altman's comments, has a decent amount of teeth. Tim Robbins is wonderful as the least likable Hollywood executive in the history of the world, which is saying something. Cynthia Stevenson deserves all the awards for her performance and I'd like to think she escapes Hollywood and gets a happier ending.

"Ma'am may I be personal? Where is your mother's grave?!" Great line.

How can you not like a darkly comedic interpretation of a totalitarian state?

The timing and sheer dryness of the comedy makes this film, and I’m so glad it’s less than two hours, no need to overstay its welcome.
