So so good. Love all the creative visual techniques, love that it’s short, and love the euro club score 😎

Don’t dismiss this as a poshed-up let’s play. Its strongest and clearly most provocative element is how it has twisted multiple mediums to its own will. I enjoyed a lot of what this had to offer. However, in moments it felt scripted - which is not necessarily bad in and of itself - but it felt poorly scripted which, when held up alongside the bard, felt particularly egregious.

Felt very odd watching a film like this in a completely full cinema. Certainly not because it doesn't warrant an audience - this is a really fun cinema experience. It just probably won't get the attention it deserves.

The parallel between Barry Keoghan's character having to invent a working class back story in order to have something interesting to say about himself, and Emerald Fennell having to come up with this in order to have something to say as a director...
Thought it'd be shocking? Wasn't at all. Plus, the music and everything in general was devoid of any nuance.

One star for Jacob Elordi being hot, one star for Barry Keoghan being good at being a weirdo.
