Evil Dead 2013
I had been waiting a while to watch this movie simply due to the red band trailer when it released lol. Not a fan of tongue cutting but we made it thru!
I enjoyed it for the most part! It definitely takes Evil Dead and turns it from a camp film to straight up gory horror.

Largely thought this movie was never needed. How do you make a sequel to one of the greatest horror films of all time? Tall order that this doesn't get near.

The Irishman 2019
It was definitely a tour deforce of Scorsese and who he has worked with in the past. Everyone brings great performances and some of the cinematography from it surprises me. However I felt that plot wise the movie didn't do anything new for me when it comes to Marty.

Tales from the Hood 1995
This was awesome af. Loved it. Definitely walks the line of horror and what happens to PoC in real life. The lesson is that line is very thin and can easily be as real as the horrors on display here.
With that said it balances itself out with self depreciating humor as well, it knows that it's showing the truth but with a lot of humor (and horror)
