  So I enjoy Eggers’ other work (The Lighthouse, The VVitch)….

  my criticisms for this movie can essentially boil down to this: Eggers had a big task with trying to make an adaptation of Nosferatu. I simply think he chose a very safe ~run of the mill~ hollywood blockbuster that would appeal to most audiences.

  The story and all the tropes were predictable.

  Vampires and psychosexual themes have been done before but this movie certainly didn’t do anything different.
