Mean Streets 1973
This may be the most overrated film of all time. The sound design is a mess, through most of the film dialogue, music, and other sounds are all played at the same volume making it near impossible to understand what the characters are saying. The plot just feels aimless. There are some decent performances by Harvey Keitel and Robert De Niro but overall this film was a disappointment.

Forget this movie is about Joker and just watch a gripping tale of a mentally ill man as his world crumbles around him. Joaquin Phoenix Brings one of the best performances of his career while the pacing of the film paired with the excellent score elevate this movie high above other “comic book movies.”

1917 2019
1917 was an excellent film! The performances, cinematography, and score come together to make the most visceral war movie I’ve ever seen. Every step of the way you feel the dread and urgency of war right along with the main characters, but you also feel the humanity.
Unlike many war movies before it, the main enemy in 1917 appears to be war itself. Do yourself a favor and see this film, but make sure you have zero distractions. You owe it to yourself and this excellent work of art to see each and every frame. You will not regret it!
