Three disjointed thoughts.
1. If The Lion King is Hamlet-but-it’s-lions, this is Moses. An orphaned boy rescued from the riverbank ends up challenging the power of his new brother, the destined king. There’s even epic biblical water-related sequences.
2. Hans Zimmer is the MVP, and he’s not even credited.
3. If the framing device wasn’t there, this would be points higher.
Also, why so quick? The film only takes a breath on gorgeous landscapes and vistas, never on character. I get…
