So the first film is one of the best sci-fi horror films, and “Aliens” is one of the best sci-fi action films. The 80s was such a great time for film imo.  Sigourney Weaver’s best performance I’d say (at least she got an Oscar nom).

The special effects still hold up. The design of the Queen Xenomorph and her “hive” is cool (and kinda disturbing). I still feel kinda bad for her.

I’m sure the British crew who…

Still exiting to watch countless times.
This is a perfect character study of Ethan by delving more into who he is and his morals.
Fallout is such a cool title with a double meaning, dealing with nuclear warfare while also dealing with the consequences of Ethan’s good intentions. I think with everything that’s happened in the first and third one, he can’t live a normal life and be with someone who isn’t a spy. He’d rather save a single life…

The perfect gangster film. Brutal, funny, and tense at times with “great” characters. Ray Liotta should’ve been nominated for an Oscar for this. Never appreciated how great the editing was before, and a good use of freeze frames. Great needle drops too.

Seeing this in 35mm (although a not well maintained print) with a very good audience is a vibe.

Hans Zimmer & Friends: Diamond in the Desert

Pretty much exactly how his live concert was, minus “The Last Samurai” and “No Time To Die”. Still an audiovisual treat though.

Editing to the rhythm of Hans Zimmer music can be pretty hardcore and effective.

Not Bong’s best, though it’s still entertaining and hilarious. Robert Pattinson always knows how to not be himself when acting. He can play an insecure and a confident psycho well. He can definitely pull off playing Steve-O.

Just like “Poor Things”, Mark Ruffalo playing a pretentious, obnoxious bafoon will always get me laughing, mostly because of whatever he says and how he acted.

This was a blast, and WB were dumb enough to give Coyote vs. Acme the axe. At least they didn’t write this one off for tax purposes (but still pawned it off to other distributors).
