This is a perfect example of a Christmas movie with NO holiday cheer whatsoever. The effects look absolutely atrocious, the costume designs look like something out of a shopping mall, the characters have zero development, the story is an incoherent disaster, the screenplay is utter shit, almost nobody gives out a good performance, it is terribly shot and edited, the choreographing is godawful, it is awfully directed, the pacing is about as fun as watching paint dry, and the way it ends is a slap-in-the-face to the audience. The only redeeming quality here is J.K. Simmons' performance as Nick. That's it.

This is an exceptional film in every sense of the word. The story is engaging throughout, the screenplay is excellent, animation is beautiful (and so are the visuals), the voice acting is fantastic, the pacing is absolutely flawless, Kris Bowers does an amazing job with the score, Chris Sanders' directing is phenomenal, it's wonderfully edited, it has one of the best messages in an animated movie, and the ending is SO heartwarming.
