  a reminder of how ridiculous this movie is lol , such a wild story concept to green light and I love it . I had a few issues with the plot upon rewatch but this is still quite an entertaining flick . I’m being a hoe when it comes to my complaints , this film isn’t meant to be perfect but damn it’s good . I forgot how ugly they make cameron diaz ! that hair is doing her no justice

  daniel day lewis is such a phenomenal actor , truly one of the greats . paul thomas anderson is easily one of the best directors in the game . pta + ddl = timeless films . i’ve got a soft spot for love stories and this film checked off all my boxes for what’s necessary in writing one . elegant but slow paced , this isn’t a film i’d recommend to someone who wants to visit PTAs filmography .   ending was so mid , no way he should’ve been alive after a knife to the throat (same with the sister) . I love the writing examination of religion in this film though . Fun shots for a movie that has a limited setting . Nothing groundbreaking about this but it’s still worth the watch

  this film started off strong but slowly got worse and worse . I have so many questions about this shit but i can ignore them for another splendid nicholas cage performance . this movie’s a fun watch and the plot is average enough to occupy your time for a couple hours
