This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
An intensely surreal and complex film. Too much can be said of it, of the Totalitarianism of Dreams and of the conflict of the Conscious and Unconscious, the Ego and Id; the danger of collective dreams and the bursting of dreams as reality with technology. A film to challenge anyone who's skimmed some Lacan, Reich, and Guattari.

Southside with You 2016
A liberal fantasy, the myth making of great men and figures destined for power. Uncanny in its directness, at times the film feels like it is looking me directly in the eyes. Obama becomes a signifier of Mandate of Heaven.
