A very good movie, but half an hour too long so it drifts in the final third. Definitely not the best film of 2024.

Flabby plot, at least an hour too long, endless cutting, incessant background music, and hardly a single scene lasting longer than 90 seconds - with most half that - which is deeply irritating and ultimately exhausting to watch. In the end it felt like sitting through a breathless three hour movie trailer.
Does Nolan have so little regard for acting and script writing that he feels the need to smother every single fucking scene with soaring strings or murky ambient music? It’s really weird.
The most over rated director of modern times.
