  Started really well, maybe a 4* very realistic characters and dialogue, but ended but stupid predicable horror tropes. End scare was really cheap and amateur, ruined any credibility the film had.

  I liked the exposition at the start - non-violent, transactional introduction of the the don, with only hints at the shady destructive crime underworld through that one line from Michael to his girlfriend. The first act of graphic violence as our initial insight into this word is the visceral horse head in the bed. This build up is extremely impactful - similar to how in Hereditary the decapitated head is our first visually disturbing imagery in the film.
