My favorite western of all time. The technological limitations of the 1960s make this film a bit rough around the edges, but an engaging plot, tense scenes, and subtle comedy make this movie one of my favorites. Clint Eastwood never fails to nail any protagonist role (especially as a cowboy) and this film is no exception. The spaghetti western atmosphere in the film is also breathtaking, with wide shots that really take in the beauty of the land. All in all this is a classic movie I’d recommend to anybody, regardless of their taste in movies.

I dare to say this is the best movie of all time, without a doubt. The breathtaking beauty of every landscape, the visceral portrayal of the passage of time, and the raw emotion combine to make this movie a truly next level experience. The major flaw in this movie for me is the script (especially in the first quarter of the movie), which I found extremely cliche and unoriginal. The second half of the movie really makes up for this however, as it has all the emotional triumph of underdog film. I…

Right off the bat I could tell the movie was well funded, with a great cast and compelling cinematography. Despite this however, I felt like Gladiator 2 leeched off of the original in too many ways. The plot of the movie in my opinion was too similar to the first movie, and I felt like I already could tell how the movie was going to end after half an hour. Additionally, I felt like this movie gave a disservice to…
