This was a ride. I felt deeply connected to Anora. The film and Mikey Madison’s stellar performance gives insight to Anora’s core desires underneath the surface. Madison handles the subtle shifts within her character’s persona and allows Anora’s full emotional depth to arise by the end of the film. I liked the class commentary as it relates to Anora, the billionaire family, and their employees.
Slight negative points due to some redundancy in the middle portion of the film. I thoroughly enjoyed it though.
After watching, I felt as if I awoke from a dream. The story of the Nickel Boys is told through a series of vignettes, where the past, present, and future merge. I am reminded of a history that is not far removed.

A historical drama that centers on Brutalist architecture and a creative yet insane genius plotline. I found myself immersed in the time period and world at large. Great cinematography and amazing performances from the actors added to this. I found myself constantly picking apart the subtleties in their expressions, and in doing so sifting through the complex emotions of each character.
