    Mission of Justice

    ★★½

Thailand set GwG potboiler from the director of notable Moon Lee joints Killer Angels, Devil Hunters, Dreaming The Reality and Angel Terminators II... plus The Big Deal. Mission Of Justice is better than that 'comedy' misfire but is a pretty average effort overall. The first half is quite good with a great brawl in a tavern that spills out onto the street. Moon Lee sports a funky costume and uses a fan on some thugs. Yukari Ôshima takes on a…

    Fatal Termination

Middle-Eastern terrorists... ho-hum... arms-dealing... yada-yada-yada... police corruption... blah-blah-blah... blackmail... zzzzzzzz... little toddler held out the window of a car going 80-odd miles an hour... wait, what?!

Fatal Termination is as generic as they come... until it isn't. Well, at least for the duration of that insane car chase. Final Run

    ★★★

At one point Dick Wei's character Bull exclaims "What is happening?" Your guess is as good as mine Dickie boy!

Horses and horse dealing in the Golden Triangle... Even after a second viewing I'm not sure what's what as Phillip Ko's cut-'n'-shut job is all over the shop. Just when you think you're keeping up with the briberies and betrayals, another character enters the fray. This has quite the cast but doesn't do much with most of them.

    Angel Terminators

    ★★★

Angel Terminators is about as generic a girls-with-guns flick as you can can get but that doesn't mean it's not fun. The plot involves Kara Hui taking an extended Scottish vacation thereby missing most of the action, Kenneth Tsang peeing on Carrie Ng's 'rug' and Sharon Yeung getting an unwanted smack addiction. What really matters is there's lots of action, some of it pretty cool. The in-name-only sequel is better due to the Moon/Yukari factor but this one's solid.
