  The fact that this film is so underrated is so irritating to me. Pleasantville arguably is more relevant now than it was back in 1998. Especially with the rise of nostalgia obsessed privillaged people who desire to have things go back to the good old days even though the good old days were not that great at all.   Honestly don't understand the hate and negative reviews it tends to garner...I have no doubt in my mind that someone as unlikeable as Waldo could garner support and votes..Way stupider unlikeable and downright evil people have gained support and gotten undeserving places in government before in real life *read a history book and look at current affairs/news*...I think a lot of viewers got offended because they saw themselves...A hit dog will holler 🙊
