  imagine saving thousands to travel to the moon and your dining options are subways or applebees. hoyte van hoytema is doing some real heavy lifting this movie. everything other than its visuals is so boring. apocalypse now but without the depth or intensity.

  I remember watching this in high school and not understanding what it was truly about. I honestly thought he was just a psycho killer trying to fit in.   There are some genuinely really interesting concepts revolving around human creation and philosophy. What drags this all down is the tie in to the Aliens universe. All the mystery regarding the Space Jockeys, Xenomorphs, and H.R Giger's bio mechanical designs are thrown out the window in favor of some buff albino humanoids. I will have to say that Michael Fassbender was born to play weird freaks. Prometheus & Covenant dispelled a lot of the cosmic elements of the original Aliens franchise.
