  Alien Resurrection 1997

  "Who were you expecting? Santa Claus?"

  Dominique Pinon's character boldly asks this question to his fellow survivors as he exits an elevator. The thing is, they weren't expecting Santa Claus (and most clues point to them expecting an Alien). In fact, nothing about their current predicament had anything to do with Christmas.

  This is just one brilliant example of the layered meaning that comes with every piece of beautifully delivered dialogue in this FILM. It challenges the viewer and more importantly challenges the entire human species.

  Definitely understood this movie without googling "Kinds of Kindness explanation". Honestly pretty impressive that I just kind of "got it" ya know? I still read the articles just to see what they're saying and went "yep that's pretty much exactly what I thought."

  This movie strays way out of its lane when it refers to Mickey's job as an "Expendable".

  We all know "Expendables" refers to and should only refer to washed up action movie stars coming together to make a supremely mediocre action franchise!!!!

  Stay in your lane, Bong Joon Ho.

  I liked the movie a lot.

  Edward Norton as Pete Seeger becomes the most lovable man. If you asked me to be acoustic, Edward, I'd do it. I wouldn't question it for a minute. You're a lovable man and I wouldn't turn you down. You can count on me.

  Timothée was also very good. Great musical performances.
