I really wanted to like this more than I did. There were some new details about the case that I hadn't heard before, but overall, this was the same sad commentary of a horrible event.
As a Titans fan, I enjoyed the memory lane of the Super Bowl run, but it felt like this was a football doc with a little murder-suicide sprinkled on top.
I'm glad they ended with some challenging of Vincent Hill, who's been milking this case…
Lots of great jokes and a beautiful, touching tribute to comedy that brought big ole tears to my eyes.
I typically prefer the Jeselnik or Mulaney model of beginning a special immediately with jokes, but I loved Sandler's chaotic backstage intro.
Some of the long-winded jokes and running gags of stage/production chaos was gratuitous and took from the overall special.
A silly, fun watch.
I can't believe I let a Zach Braff-read Celebrity Mean Tweet on Kimmel and years of "that movie is weird" discourae keep me from watching this sooner. Perhaps it's the ending that people have moaned over all these years, but this movie could have ended any way it wanted to and I would have felt good after.
