It's weird that toxic masculinity and its links with religious and racial intolerance is the undertone this movie tried to ride while also having a kid's braces try to kill him. The weirder part is that it *almost* pulls off this tonal clusterfuck. Like, shit, I was legitimately creeped out by this several times, and the acting was pretty serviceable throughout! But then the pacing gets rough, and the directing gets scattershot, and the movie includes some weird SA stuff…

Good: All the actors are pretty okay overall. The scares aren't all that bad overall. Interesting to see a Dybbuk Box being used, was surprised I called it correctly before the movie explained it.
Bad: The editing has made me want to search out the editors on here and make sure to not watch any of their other movies. Got kinda overwrought near the end. I saw the ending coming a mile away too.
