Honestly, this was my least favorite movie I’ve seen in awhile. Who is the target demographic for a plague zombie movie that doesn’t include any plague zombies ?! Insanely boring, no climax, don’t waste your time.

Alien: Romulus 2024
Halfway through this movie, I began questioning if I even like the Alien franchise. I believe I do, but this was not my favorite. The breakneck pace is chaotic, making it hard to catch your breath or give a shit if any of the characters live or die. It’s a shame, because the few scenes of sticky twisted carnage and vulvacious egg pods were rad. Wish it had been way more artistic and aggressively edited.

This movie somehow explained too much and too little all at once. There were promising moments, and the eeriness was there, but there were so many missed opportunities for mystery and true horror. The setting of the rad hotel situated in the alps was barely showcased. It was under 2 hours, but felt like an eternity and a total slog to get through. I am glad I saw it, but would never want to see it again.

Without Nicolas Cage, this would be such a dud? However, the appropriately sprinkled scenes of his bad filler face dusted in flour, thrifted white denim ensemble, and bizarro persona was enough to carry the whole film and leave me wanting more.
Not scary, not sexy, kinda convoluted plot, but I’d happily watch again. Hail Satan !!!
