This one just wasn’t for me, I thought the themes were way too in your face, die antwoord’s acting was passable but they weren’t really acting. And chappie as a whole just didn’t feel very compelling to me

Could’ve been alot better, tonally had trouble finding its footing I think. Some characters were great, like mickey. Others sucked, like mark ruffalo’s very obvious and forced trump who isn’t trump. I think we all get the parallels without the hamfisted impression, really think the ubiquitous evil politician who is trump in all but name is pretty stale at this point, I don’t disagree with the portrayal, but at least tweak the character so it doesn’t come off as lazy…
