The characters are convincing and character moments in the latter parts of the film pay off, but it just took so long to get there. I felt like I had to watch these kids get high and fuck each other for an eternity. I get that it's kind of a vibes movie, but wasn't worth it for me.

Really wanted to love this but it was so all over the place. Both bloated and underdeveloped. And full of unconvincing character moments? Still enough whimsy and Bong-magic to get it to stay afloat but he's set the bar so high it felt like a rare miss for him.
Pattinson was great though. Ruffalo was not.
