    Basically what you would get when you hand over a pretty solid idea to a teenager with a camera. There's fun to be had, but it never manages to fulfil its promise.     There is fun to be had with the solid action scenes, bad effects and muddied messaging, but it also overlong and not silly or action packed enough to stay entertaining throughout. I did watch the directors cut, so perhaps that is less so in the theatrical version. And of course, as a western viewer I have a tin ear for anything that doesn't neatly follow a heroes journey in a thight three act structure, so there's also that.
