Big Film Lover despite not studying it in uni. I am hoping to develop some new tastes and put them in a diary of some kind.

Unforgiven 1992
Maybe we shouldn't aspire to be cowboys. Being an Outlaw is not as fun as some of the movies make it look.
I find myself humming the theme every now and again.

Apocalypse Now 1979
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
I have a few gripes, but it was a very powerful experience.
I love the cinematography and the use of music. Marlon Brando makes an exceptional appearance. The use of narration didn't overstay it's welcome. The world building was pretty great as well.
Btw, why didn't Kurtz kill Willard when he had the chance?

Mickey 17 2025
Mickey 17 is a fun, funny and thought provoking scifi comedy about human expansion, scientific breakthroughs and the danger of giving power to individuals just because they talk alot.
I was very impressed with the visual effects. I loved Robert Pattinson and I thought he showed a lot of range. I enjoyed most of the characters too.
The Mark Ruffalo and Toni Collette villains were probably a bit OTT, at least for me and the Trump analogies felt a little too on the nose to be enjoyable. But I recognise that others might enjoy it more than me.
Check it out.

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid 1969
This is the fourth or fifth time I have watched this and it's an enthralling watch each of those times. Every aspect works perfectly.
The dialogue is witty and enjoyable. The story is well paced and engaging. I love the two main characters, played to perfection by Paul Newman and Robert Redford respectively, who give them life and chemistry. Katherine Ross is excellent as Etta Place too.
The landscape photography is gorgeous and it allows you to get lost in…
