Triangle of Sadness 2022
i noticed that they cut the puking on the yacht scene in this version of the film. i'm surprised at how much i actually missed it. there's something so grossly satisfying about seeing the elite class in that most vulnerable state.

Kinds of Kindness 2024
admittedly, i watched this because poor things was my favorite film of last year and i was curious to see what else its masterful creator might deliver. i was anticipating a magical/surreal story that reflects some profound societal truth, and instead sat through what felt like a three hour directionless movie. it was entertaining and funny and shocking, but i can't understand what the point of it all was. i think maybe i'm not enough of a film bro™ to appreciate this one
