  God bless Park Chan-Wook and his perverted mind. This production on this has to be some of the most beautifully designed I’ve ever seen. It’s so lush and meticulous.

  This is how to do a biopic — with perspective and an eye towards some specific aspect of the subject. Gorgeously shot and acted. It looses steam through the second half though, and then just kind of ends. But the first half is near perfect filmmaking.

  Animals don’t need a reason. 

  Far too violent for my stomach. That said, it’s stunningly beautiful and compelling. Violence is everywhere, interspersed in the nature we find so peaceful. Decay is inevitable.
