I find it highly unlikely any film will ever top Vertigo for me. It stands alone as a timeless example of the perfect combination of style and substance. Every aspect of the film hits its mark, Bernard Herman's mysterious score, the incredibly striking visuals, a consistently engaging mystery that can genuinely shock on a first viewing.
