Leprechaun Origins (2014)
Decidedly NOT an origin story. As far as plot structure, this is fairly competent. But the film fails to show us what it is our teens are trying to elude for the 1st hour. Lacks the fun of other sequels. Almost works, but not quite.

Seems to be in on the joke to some extent. Probably should have leaned more in to the comedy gold that is a hideous leprechaun rhyming & using ebonics. Doesn't care to explain how the plot moves forward, just that it goes forward

The most consistently great franchise in American cinematic history delivers another gem. An intelligent blockbuster that will thrill you, make you think, and feel something for its motion capture stars.

Wolf Man (2025)
Takes its time to set up the characters and story, which I appreciated. I just don't really think it did much with them in the second half. It's too dark, too little dialogue. Wastes its emotional ending. Pales in comparison to "Invisible Man".
