  Started as a really interesting film then rapidly petered out. Felt so rushed by the end.

  Incredible film, completely lost me at the end with the epilogue. 

  I’m sure I’ll read something over the next few days that will make sense of it for me. Still left with an overwhelming feeling of awe.

  Remodelling my life on Hirayama. Scudding around the city on my bike, running errands, Olympus mju in pocket. Tree Friends, watching the light, house plant Dad, listening to 60’s cassettes and crying.

  Even the credits were beautiful! 

  To really run it home, I came out of the cinema to beautiful sunshine hitting Stratford before watching a huge car crash. Take me to Japan.

  Just want to have a drink by the river with my friends and play shadow tag. A simple life.
