Gal Gadot Away
I dropped my rating from 5 stars to 1 when I realized this movie was intended as a murder mystery and not the latest addition to Monty Python’s Flying Circus. If Agatha Christie didn’t roll in her grave when Gal Gadot popped out of a Cleopatra Tipi to say “immortal stirrings,” then I will personally hop on the next plane to St. Mary’s Churchyard in Cholsey, dig down, and roll those bones myself.

Marriage Story 2019
Marriage Story is REAL, and it hurt my heart in a way that only reality can. It shows that people are petty and noble, that they’re filled with love and hatred and everything in between. Humanity is a Well of emotion and Marriage Story draws from the bottom. It’s a difficult movie to watch but it’s executed beautifully by raw acting that never feels scripted and compelling shots throughout. Finishing the film left me with that unresolved peace that follows most major events in my life; it was a roller coaster that slowed down just long enough for me to get off. Four stars.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker 2019

Lightsaber battles on all sorts of cool planets? Check. Rey’s trip to ancestry.com? Check. The force rocked my a$$ off from start to finish, new powers and developments both…

Knives Out 2019
More twists than the Goofy’s Sky School ride at Disneyland. You’ll want to watch it again as soon as it’s done.
