  Yeah nah idk what I was thinking when I first watched this. I think I just assumed that a rewatch would fill in any gaps I had and that I was just stupid or something. Turns out there's no gaps to fill, this movie's just hollow. This is the same exact experience I had with There Will Be Blood. I feel like I'm gonna be extra weary around Character Studies™ about Bad But "Interesting" People™ cuz they just end up being indulgent drivel a lot of the time.

  Also why tf did I not realize how bad the dialogue was the first time???
