Surf's Up 2007
This movie is a perfect example of what children’s entertainment should be: weirdly funny, inspiring (to the likes of children obviously), creative, well-acted (surprisingly), and (also surprisingly) well directed and animated.
There is no other children’s blockbuster movie that functions as a mockumentary. And with the state of film and movies as it is, there probably will never again be a children’s blockbuster mockumentary.
I hope in the near future I eat my fucking words.

The first 10-20 minutes is passable, even interesting and intriguing in specific moments, but quickly devolves into something that can only be comparable to YouTube creepypasta content C. mid-2010s with the hijacked aesthetics of the already trite and passé “analog horror” genre.
