incredible that a film with stakes this low had me absolutely glued to the screen by the end. deadass teared up and felt the weight of the world come crashing down when she says “he said good morning!” at the end.
is suburbia doomed to always produce abject antagonism and a dissolution of social cohesion? maybe not! maybe there’s hope tucked away in every little corner. something something Heidegger said about our being-in-the-world is predicated on the mundane and repetitive tasks. idk i don’t feel like finding the exact passage but you get the gist. wonderful film that just feels good to watch.
