A strange, improbably great mixture of top notch comedic performances and existential horror. you really get a sense of time, and the way it’s trapping, changing and ultimately giving a real prick of a man infinite chances to get out of his own ass — until he finally does

there’s a scene where Owen looks into the living room and his father glares back at him. That scene’s sense of dread, of guilt and incrimination, which persists even when the couch is empty, fills this whole movie. Yet, it’s also filled with the feeling of recognition, those sparks…
