I enjoyed this. This sort of feels like a nightmare and the series is the following dream thematically. Here we really see the horror and get to appreciate much more the those haunting elements in that unique lynch language. This is so much more dark than the series and it feels complimentary because of it especially when you watch them in the proper order; especially after the season 2 finale.
Fighting in some bamboo tree looks tight but also like it would suck ass. Also, catch me back in that desert with that jade comb and some barbecue chicken. That setup looked great.

It’s quiet. It’s deeply reflective. Meditative. And, for that reason I don’t think that there needs to be that much dialogue. For the part where there was dialogue I found there to be a tremendous amount of detail and beauty. And, really, what about the bedroom scene? The bar scene? The end?

Hopefully the person who had a seizure due to the 10 year anniversary return hype in my theater is ok.
To really put it plainly, this is the actual perfect movie going film. It’s flawed, sure, but if you give into the opera-like nature of it, and just bask in the visuals alone I don’t think you can come out of it and not enjoy yourself. Truly some of the most breathtakingly still that you can ever imagine are captured…
