  The Wild Robot 2024

  If this movie had only its art direction and the plot/writing was terrible, I would still consider it a win (and yet another product of ITSV smashing the realism ceiling in animation). But, by golly, this movie gets so much else right that it just feels euphoric to watch. It adds just enough tension and darkness to give its triumphs the necessary lift by comparison. It sticks to its themes and does not give itself easy outs in terms of conflict resolution. I want every future animated movie to follow in its footsteps.
