  This is excellent, some truly impressive camerawork (which doesn’t feel like a gimmick but just adds to the intensity and realism of the situation!) Combined with some killer writing, performances and some very important/relevant themes. A must watch

  It just gets better every watch…a real achievement in filmmaking. Elevated further by the sound of an actual cinema. This time round the parallels between this and 2001 stood out to me A LOT both narratively and thematically.

  WHY WAS THIS GOOD?! The Rock DJ sequence might be one of my favourite sequences of the year, I’m a sucker for a one take.

  The only thing holding this back is some iffy pacing and very cliche lines, like it’s almost trying to be quotable. However I absolutely LOVED the idea of Robbie being played by a monkey as a lot of the main themes/plot points of the film are told visually through the fantastical musical sequences so why not make the main character its own fantasy element🤷‍♂️

  How is this not nominated for best original screenplay?! It takes true skill to make something as much of an emotional rollercoaster as this. Paired with some incredible animation and fantastic characters make this one truly fantastic. One I will be rewatching many many times. Might also be one of my favourite pieces of animation I’ve ever seen.
