The Greatest Showman 2017
Undeniably the best song collection in any film ever made. A perfect representation of the fight against discrimination. Has a great balance of a double romance that isn’t too cheesy or takes up too much plotline.

A firm sequel but doesn’t quite hit as good as the original. The old school gimmicks can be a little tiresome and predictable.
The inter-family conflict and romance is explored with great precision and relatability. Like the first one, there is still a lack definitive ending and the general narrative is a bit messy - but that reflects the chaos of having a large family I guess.Translated from by

Inside Out 2 2024
A master class in anthropomorphising emotions to such a relatable and kid friendly experience. A tonne of classic Pixar gimmicks to implement comedy and cameos. The character and set design represents the mind and the feelings with such great detail. Some of my favourite puns being the brainstorm and the Sar-chasm scene. Interesting integration of different art styles too.

A chaotic 90 minute portrayal of having a large family, a stark contrast to my childhood. Early 2000s comedy acting doesn’t get much more genuine and family friendly than this. Whilst it’s quite consistently captivating, it does lack a solidified and consistent ending. The plot can be a little scattered but it’s still a classic with a very firm cast.
