Grosse Pointe Blank 1997
Add this to the list of films that should have sequels but sadly do not.
Bonus points for John Cusack.

The Brutalist 2024
Beautifully shot and takes big swings. But, it doesn't always land them. Regardless of that, I am astonished it was made for the reported budget. Hopefully more economical epics are on the way, though I fear we've had this false dawn before.
Never experienced a film with an intermission before, they should be more commonplace.Translated from by

Butcher's Crossing 2022
A solid Western focussing thematically on nature/god versus man, isolation, obsession, and coming of age.
It would be too simplistic to say Butcher's Crossing is Moby Dick with buffalos but I definitely did think that at one point. The big draw, of course, is Cage and he delivers with one of his more nuanced performances, yet still garnishes it with the Cagian fire we all know and love.
There's breathtaking American landscapes as the buffalo hunt moves through the season…Translated from by -
Last Night in Soho 2021
Simon Pegg and Nick Frost really show off their range as performers by playing two women half their age. Unrecognisable.
