Less fire than in Seven Samurai, but while it doesn't ignite my pyro passions, it is still a stellar western.
Yul Brynner did a bang up job of being the stoic protag and him riding shotgun on a hearse is iconic, I fear.
Holy run time batman. That said, what a movie! You can see the dedication everyone had to making this a great movie. I particularly appreciated the actual burning of buildings.
Caught the premiere at the Redford Theater on a whim because a friend was going, figured why not. It was an emotional rollercoaster to say the least. An absolutely stellar movie, great music. I'd love to be able to see this for the first time again.
Crazy that I heard so much about Hannibal Lecter from this movie and he's not even that big a deal really. Like yeah he's a cannibal, but I've heard more about him than the "actual" bad guy in the film.
I really appreciated when Clarice started repeating what Hannibal said to Ardelia how they replicated the really zoomed in face on shot.
