The ultimate love letter to the game of baseball. At one point, one of the guys asks Bill Belinda “do you see anyone else’s family here?” All of these decades playing this game, on this field, and rarely a spectator. Fitting, then, that for this game, this last game, we’re all in attendance.

One of those movies that reminds you what it means to be human by punching you in the face with “HUMAN” tattooed on the knuckles of the imposing fist.

It’s a crime that Divine Eye isn’t nominated for Best Supporting Actor, but Colman Domingo should win his Best Actor award running away with it.

No one plays a weird little guy better than Barry Keoghan

Rarely has a movie’s premise and execution been so squarely in my wheelhouse.

As someone whose heritage is that of Polish Holocaust survivors, I found it deeply moving, unexpectedly sobering, and also really really funny in a way only a writer with the same background could conjure up.

Home run efforts by both Eisenberg and Culken. Could have honestly used more runtime to dive deeper into some of the characters, but understand why the choice was made to keep it this concise.
