From the completely silent opening shot using a practical ship my first thought was, "Oh sh*t, he might actually do it right!"
And for the most part, Fede Alvarez did.

An incredible, frontlines, high anxiety experience. Especially in IMAX, you could feel the tension in the room as movie goers gripped their arm rests, unsure of when the next bullet would come whizzing by their head. This is a terrifying perspective of a possible future, especially for Americans who have always watched the horror from afar, but never been a part of it.
For many, this will be a one-and-done viewing.
