Nobody likes this but me. Hillbilly trash told with panache and extra pulp. I’m always interested in DTV movies made by proven craftsmen.

Finally some showmanship at the movies! Ang Lee’s experimental blockbuster is a fascinating technical feat where style is substance. The action is crisp and the HFR 3D+ gives it a charge that was completely new to me in cinema. Will Smith’s performance is some of the best and most heartfelt work he’s done in a long time. Open your mind and give this a chance.

Definitely see this in the 3D+ HFR if you can.

Vastly underrated sci-fi comedy camp gem. This movie is everything I hope for when I intentionally put on a “bad movie”. It’s batshit crazy and chock full of insane choices from beginning to end. In a world full of bland movies, this sticks out. Loved it.
